Description:Will support the effective functioning of the farmers market by delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a visually appealing environment, and assisting our various local vendors. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to: assisting with the market setup and closing, handling sales transactions, maintaining cleanliness and organization, monitoring product quality, assisting with inventory management, implementing marketing activities, fostering vendor relationships, staying updated with product knowledge, and actively engaging with customers. Ability to contribute significantly to the overall teamwork, efficiency, and positive atmosphere of the famers market ultimately enhancing the customer experience.Minimum Qualifications:A high school diploma, GED or two years of successful work in a similar field with similar background tasks required. Excellent customer service skills required. Exceptional communications skills a must. Prior experience in retail, farmers markets, pop-up markets, or local food and agriculture preferred. Must possess reasonable math skills to perform the duties of a cashier to unpack and count inventory accurately.Position requires skills in operating a touch screen computer and scanner.Schedule:Full-time. Open availability to include weekends and holidays required.
